When the home team was + or -3 points they went 9-0-1 ATS and 7 out of those

10 contests played over the total.

Note; the official Vegas total was 42½ between Miami and Philadelphia but many locals had that number at 43 points.

The Bengals/Falcons posted total of 53 in week 8 was the highest Sunday night number (at that time) as none of the over/under numbers had exceeded 49 in the 1980's games.
